God bestowed on man the capacity to help the living beings. It is not only our capability but it is our responsibility too. Helping others is the best of the human Dharma. If one bird gets trapped, many birds flock around it and attract the attention of others so that the trapped bird may be released and saved.

Organizational Profile
Established in 2005, the Lofa County YMCA is a dynamic community-based organization located in Zorzor City, Lofa County, in northern Liberia. Since its inception, the organization has been committed to serving the underprivileged and marginalized youth of Zorzor District and surrounding communities. Through a diverse range of programs, the Lofa YMCA focuses on youth empowerment by offering opportunities in skills training, education, sports, recreation, peacebuilding, reconciliation, and community health awareness.

In response to the growing demand for accessible education in the community, the YMCA leadership launched the YMCA Community School in 2012. Since its establishment, the school has steadily gained recognition within the community, resulting in consistent growth in enrollment. The school continues to operate successfully, providing quality education and contributing to the overall development of young people in the region.

With a strong commitment to youth development and community service, the Lofa County YMCA remains a vital institution driving positive change in northern Liberia.
