The YMCA Polytechnic, on April 17, 2026, graduated over 100 students from its Information Communication Technology (ICT) program.
Established in 2003, the program was designed to empower young men and women through comprehensive computer literacy training. By equipping participants with essential digital skills, it seeks to enhance their employability, strengthen the pool of a technologically competent workforce, and contribute to the development of youth as active participants in Africa’s renaissance.
Since the establishment of the program, the YMCA Polytechnic has graduated and certified over 5000 digitally skilled young men and women who are better prepared for employment and entrepreneurship.
These young men and women are contributing to a growing workforce that is competent in technology, increasing participants’ access to job opportunities, and supporting the development of a generation of youth equipped to drive innovation and socio-economic progress across Africa.
